The DPIR Intellectual Forum, a testament to the passion and dedication of students in the field of International Relations, was established in 2021. Fueled by the desire to create a vibrant space for intellectual exploration and engagement, these visionary students embarked on a journey to create a platform that would foster critical thinking, open dialogue, and a deeper understanding of global affairs.
Idea
The inception of the DPIR Intellectual Forum can be traced back to the visionary idea of Hassan Raza, a passionate student of International Relations. Eager to create a platform for intellectual growth and engagement, Hassan shared his idea with Muhammad Zubair, who offered unwavering support. Encouraged by the positive response, they approached esteemed seniors, including Wazir Zafar Hassan, Atta Ullah Khan, and Asad Rasheed, all of whom wholeheartedly embraced the concept and pledged their full support.
Their collective efforts culminated in a presentation before Dr. Asiya Saif Alvi, the esteemed Chairperson of DPIR. Dr. Alvi exhibited great interest in the forum and not only provided moral encouragement but also practical support to bring the idea to life.
1st Tenure
With the groundwork laid, the executive cabinet was formed, with Atta Ullah Khan assuming the role of the first president. Asad Rasheed took on the responsibilities of Editor-in-Chief, while Wazir Zafar Hassan became the inaugural general secretary. Hassan Raza stepped into the role of Chief Coordinator, and Muhammad Zubair was entrusted with the duties of Event Organizer and Graphic Designer for the forum.
Under their guidance, the forum initiated its first tenure with a series of successful activities, including an essay writing competition, a captivating seminar, and a memorable prize distribution ceremony.
2nd Tenure
As the baton passed to the second cabinet, Wazir Zafar Hassan assumed the presidency, bringing his passion and dedication to lead the forum into its next phase. During this term, the forum expanded its array of activities, hosting engaging movie screenings, invigorating online discussions, and insightful in-house discussion sessions.
Throughout the tenure, the forum organized three thrilling quiz competitions, a thought-provoking essay writing contest, and a captivating photography contest. The crown jewel of their accomplishments was a compelling seminar dedicated to the urgent cause of environmental protection, raising awareness and inspiring sustainable actions among participants.
The next steps for the forum include continued growth, collaboration with more distinguished speakers, and further expanding its range of impactful activities. With the collective dedication of its members, the DPIR Intellectual Forum is poised to flourish as a beacon of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and positive change within the realm of Politics & International Relations.
3rd Tenure
In its 3rd tenure, commencing in May 2023, the DPIR Intellectual Forum continued its remarkable journey under the leadership of Muhammad Zubair, who was elected as the president. With a renewed sense of enthusiasm and dedication, the forum flourished, organizing a series of impactful activities that left a lasting impression on its members and the wider academic community. New structur is adopted for the cabinet that includes Core Cabinet & Executive Committee
